Sebastian Grabowski, CEO of Atlantic Group in Poland: “Best growth results ever”
Atlantic is a large fish farming and processing company in Poland, Denmark and Italy. The company has been using Fennoaqua feeds in its fish farming operations for several years. CEO Sebastian Grabowski is very pleased with the growth results and the cooperation with Fennoaqua.
In the 1990s, Zbigniew Grabowski started breeding rainbow trout at the Lulemino farm near Słupsk in Poland, where trout farming continues to this day. After almost 30 years of successful operation, the founder passed on the management of the farm to his son, Sebastian Grabowski. He is currently the CEO of Atlantic Holding, which includes Fish Farming Aquaculture, Atlantic Fish Industry and Worldwide Food Service.
“For almost 13 years, we have been part of an aquaculture group called Atlantic Fish Industry. It has several farms in central Pomerania, Northern Italy and Central Denmark. The main species of fish in our assortment are rainbow trout and salmon trout,” says Sebastian Grabowski.
The production of the Atlantic Fish Industry takes place entirely at the Atlantic fish processing plant in Kowalewice, located in the heart of Central Pomerania, near Darłowo.
“We offer our customers nutritious and safe fish products – fresh, frozen, or smoked – always carefully packaged.”
Atlantic also launched a professional service that supplies retail chains with daily deliveries of fresh trout, rainbow trout, and salmon. This was a response to the demand from the fish production market for fresh fish packed in trays to complement their offer. Worldwide Food Service, a division of Atlantic, manages this operation.
“We employ 680 people in four European Union countries. Due to my experience, I manage the entire structure. However, our organizational units have qualified personnel and management staff.”
Highly effective feed
The first contact with Alltech Fennoaqua, then known as Raisioaqua, was established in 2019, and the cooperation deepened in 2022 when Sebastian Janiak became Regional Sales Manager for Poland at Raisioaqua.
After decades of using other feeds, Sebastian Grabowski agreed to try Fennoaqua feed.
“My trusted friend Sebastian Janiak familiarized himself with the feeds and the principles of Fennoaqua. He implemented these principles and shared them with me. The most important factor in all this was that Janiak was impressed by Fennoaqua’s practices and feeds and convinced me as well,” says Sebastian Grabowski.
Sebastian Grabowski then started using Fennoaqua feeds and found them very effective.
“Thanks to Fennoaqua feeds, we have achieved the best growth results ever. Over the years, the quality of the feeds has improved significantly and is now also excellent in terms of physical properties.”
Reliability comes first
Sebastian Grabowski considers the cooperation with Fennoaqua fruitful and transparent. He is particularly pleased that Fennoaqua keeps its promises and operates efficiently and flexibly.
“Reliability is definitely Fennoaqua’s most important strength. They keep their promises and act according to the agreement. The cooperation with them is direct, fair, and transparent. They also have a good approach to listening to their customers and taking their wishes into account. Of course, sometimes there are more difficult aspects of the cooperation, but these are also handled directly and openly.”
“Fennoaqua is a great option”
Sebastian Grabowski has extensive contacts with experts and the management of Fennoaqua.
“I mainly contact Sebastian Janiak. In addition, I have also established good and open relationships with the senior management at Fennoaqua, especially with Thomas Ginström, who is responsible for sales. I also know Tomi Kantola, CEO of Alltech Fennoaqua, and have met him several times.”
Sebastian Grabowski is happy to recommend the company to other companies operating in the fish industry.
“I can highly recommend Fennoaqua. If you need a reliable, honest and transparent partner whose feeds and services perform exceptionally well, Fennoaqua is a great option.”
