Finland’s only fish feed factory continues its operations under a new name. The name change from Raisioaqua to Alltech Fennoaqua is based on the change of ownership from Raisio Group to Finnforel Oy, the American Alltech Corporation and the Finnish Heino Group. Fennoaqua’s operations continue at the company’s own factory in Raisio.
Alltech Fennoaqua is a Finnish fish feed producer and feeding expert. We are a pioneer in environmentally friendly Baltic Sea feeds: we offer our customers sustainable feeds and effective feeding solutions suitable for northern conditions.
Fennoaqua’s innovative feeds, designed to promote fish welfare and optimise fish fatty acids, make us a reliable partner.
Fish feeds have been manufactured in Raisio Finland since 1982. Our key markets are Finland, Poland, Sweden and the Baltic Sea region.
Contract farmers following Fennoaqua’s feeding concept can use the registered Benella brand for rainbow trout, whitefish and trout in their marketing. Benella brand is currently owned by Kalavapriikki Oy.
Benella Fish is good for the consumer and the environment. Benella Fish has been proven to have the right levels of vitamin D and, thanks to an innovative feeding concept, EPA and DHA fatty acids, in line with fish consumption recommendations. Benella Fish are fed with Alltech Fennoaqua’s Baltic Blend® feed. As a result, the nutrient load of fish farming to the Baltic Sea has been substantially reduced.
